At the shoulders, sleeves and hem, the focus is on abrasion resistance and weather protection. These are the areas of the jacket that are most exposed to wear and tear, e.g. from backpack straps. So we have opted to use windproof, highly water resistant STORMLOCK SOFTSHELL for these areas. On the torso and back, highly breathable FLEX SHIELD provides good climate comfort. This large surface area can expel lots of moisture vapour, which means the jacket also works well as part of a layering system. The stretch performance of the fabric, both here and under the arms, ensures optimum freedom of movement. This fabric is also wind and water resistant. The pockets are raised to allow easy access when carrying a pack with a waist belt. The patented, ergonomically adjustable hood gives such a snug fit that it can even be worn under a helmet.
