The McQueen is Dead By Mason Storm
Elusive artist Mason Storm creates meticulously detailed prints from a fusion of conventional painting techniques and mediums, cultural iconography, and themes of modernity. His work turns around the traditional portrait, adding in elements form contemporary culture: from music, to TV, to advertising, Storm's updates are brilliant satirical commentaries on twenty-first century society. 'The McQueen is Dead' depicts the late, iconic fashion designer Alexander McQueen as Hamlet, leaning his arms on a skull, as he casually smokes a cigarette: an inspired combination of classic literary symbolism and contemporary culture.
